Paid Vacation
- 40 hours per year (monthly accrual). Accrual period starts January 1. The Paid Vacation balance will be prorated for the year depending on the start date.
Paid Holidays
- Seven paid holidays per year.
Critical Expertise
- Experience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of high-voltage wiring, especially 480V 3-phase motors.
- Knowledge and experience in motor control (highly preferred)
- Proficiency in multi-craft maintenance and repair, addressing both electrical and mechanical systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least two years of training or experience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment (highly preferred).
- Electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience (highly preferred).
- Trailer Mechanic experience (preferred).
- Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds and stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Flexibility to manage changing priorities and task lists.
- Self-starter attitude with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures to minimize risks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
May be responsible for performing a combination of the following duties based upon job assignment:
- Servicing trailers.
- Knowledge of electrical repair and general preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic.
- Repair and adjust conveyor systems: Install belts in machinery, tighten, adjust, straighten, align, and replace parts.
- Must be familiar with LOTO.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
- Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be self-motivated to complete assignments.
- Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where the use of appropriate protective/safety equipment is required.
- Requires climbing, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects in awkward and confined spaces using proper lifting and rigging techniques.
- Work includes indoor and outdoor environment.
- Other job duties as assigned.
