QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Preferred 2 years of experience in a trade with emphasis on the installation of home energy conservation materials
Knowledge of construction techniques
Must have a valid New York State Driver License.
Must pass the background check

GENERAL DUTIES:
Perform all applications of materials under the direction of the Crew Chief.
In the absence of the Crew Chief:
Complete work assignments in compliance with job order.
Responsible for the reporting of materials used on the job.
Completion of the job and all related testing and reports.
ACTIVITIES:
Clean, repair, and install home heating equipment and distribution systems
Perform air movement tests and apply caulking, foam insulation, weather stripping, and other air reducing materials
Vent clothes dryers, hot water heaters, bathrooms, kitchens, or where a mechanical vent may be needed
Install all materials indicated on work orders submitted by the auditor
Perform health and safety testing on mechanical equipment in the home, ie. furnace, hot water heaters, vent fans
Install water conservation materials, ie. pipe wrap, low flow shower heads, hot water heater blankets
Make necessary repairs to protect the energy saving materials installed
Identify, and perform work as it relates to the certified or licensed trade
Perform all other activities as may be assigned by the Weatherization Program Director or Crew Chief

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Climb stairs, set up and climb scaffolds in order to complete assigned tasks
Work with mechanical and power equipment
Crawl in confined spaces
Required to drive agency vehicle
Able to talk in person and by telephone to obtain and receive detailed information
Able to use writing equipment both manual and electronic
Environmental Conditions
Exposed to weather/road conditions to and from job sites and while working at job site
Exposed to dust, building materials and insulation
Protective Clothing and Devices
Masks, respirators, hard toe shoes, jump suits, back supports, ear protection when required, to complete assigned task
