As a full time Scheduler, coordinating calendars for our RNs and LPNs caring for medically fragile adults and children living in their homes throughout the Greater Puget Sound. Must be available to work a Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm in-office schedule.
Our office is located in the greater Seattle area and applicants must be willing to commute to the Seattle area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates daily scheduling for medically intensive clients
- Proactively fills shifts for our clients and keeps computer scheduling program up to date and in real time
- Troubleshoots call outs, cancelled shifts, and vacations
- Minimize uncovered shifts
- Conducts weekly scheduling meetings to keep office staff members appraised of current problems, concerns and or changes relating to the client calendars.
- Communicates with other Scheduling Coordinators on a daily basis
- Maintains phone log of each call made and received in a business day
- Communicates daily with the on-call scheduling staff regarding changes or new developments
- Conducts analysis on historical trends, call outs, overtime, and retention, making recommendations and providing ideas for continuous improvement
- Meet new employees to set-up schedules and training shifts
- Maintain scheduling database and produce payroll reports to the Accounting Department
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Experience as Scheduler or Staffing Coordinator is required
- Experience in healthcare or a service-oriented business a plus
- Exercises superior customer service skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency to filter a vast amount of information and determine appropriate action
- Ability to forecast, plan and look ahead
- Keen attention to detail and stark organization skills required
- Skilled in juggling multiple schedules in a real-time environment
- Proven ability to exercise sound decision making
- Proficiency in MS Office suite at the intermediate level
- Proficiency in Google Docs
- Works with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
