We are seeking an assistant director to oversee the facility of infants/children ages 6weeks-4 years old. We are seeking a qualified individual who is also, organized, have problem solving capabilities, and posses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of the daycare center, to include health and safety, enrollment, financial wellness, staffing, training and retention, employee management, and delivery of high-quality education and care to all children.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our families, employees, and vendors
- Manage budget.
- Ability to perform all essential functions for each position in the daycare including, but not limited to, light janitorial when or if necessary, food handling/serving, and acting in a teacher's capacity.
- Delivers consistent business results, measured through family retention and conversion.
- Manages employee schedules and daily labor within the center, ensure appropriate ratios are always met.
- Identifies opportunities and takes action to maximize savings and efficiencies in business operations.
- Creates enrollment and growth plans based on past performance and projected occupancy.
- Ensures parent billings, account receivables and collections are accurate and precise each month.
- Analyzes and reconciles monthly P&L statements.
- Processes payroll accurately.
- Loss prevention tactics.
Necessary skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or in related field with 24 semester credits in early childhood education as required by DCFS.
- 2 years or more of Director experience in a licensed and accredited child care center is REQUIRED.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Have keen knowledge in state licensing regulations, staffing, enrollment and budget management.
- Demonstrate highly effective - organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrate responsibilities in overseeing all daycare operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations.
- A proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining staff and clients.
- Strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community.
- Analyzes and reconciles monthly P&L statements
- Processes payroll accurately. 1 Saturday quarterly must be ready and available to host marketing tours/open house, etc.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English'
