Job Coach/Employment Supports
We are looking for qualified candidates to provide Community Based and Job Coaching supports to transition age students (16-22 years) and adults in the community. We are seeking candidates who have a high work ethic, ability to work independently yet be a dynamic team members, highly motivated and self directed approach to professional development and who want to have FUN! Candidates will demonstrate the ability to be professional and positive in a fast paced environment.
Starting rate of pay $20.50 with opportunity to advance to Job Coaching rate of $22.50 upon completion of the Supporting Meaningful Employment Course (provided).
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the job seeker with skills, building natural supports and developing relationships.
- Assist individuals with gaining meaningful relationships and agency in their community
- Assess individuals needs and wants and help to prioritize goals and outcomes
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
ABILITY TO:
- Work effectively with individuals of all abilities
- Work a flexible schedule, schedule is TBD each week
- Provide transportation in reliable, insured personally owned vehicle
- Establish and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with members of a diverse community
- Work independently with remote supports from team members
- Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
- Effectively plan, organize and prioritize work related tasks
- Ability to follow schedules and document progress on outcomes
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Communicate with an open mind and ability to ensure understanding
- Be a collaborative and engaging part of a team.
- Be flexible- The work environment changes daily. Our Employment Support Staff work in office spaces, program areas, at the work location of the individual supported, at volunteer sites, in vehicles and in various locations out in the community.

Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must be able to focus on and complete SME training (provided) within 6 months of employment.
- Prior to employment, successful candidate must pass BCI background check, CANTS clearance, professional reference check and driving record check.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
