We are a national securities litigation firm and seeking to hire a legal intake specialist to join the firm’s established and growing securities practice. The ideal candidate will have prior financial &/or investment industry concepts and terminology, excel in a fast-paced environment, work well individually and as part of a legal team, and be willing to go above and beyond to successfully meet the unique needs of our clients.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience, strong knowledge of, &/or interest in finance terminology, financial investment concepts, investment products, insurance and annuity products, &/or the financial services (brokerage/investment advisory) industry
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification, &/or associate degree
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable communicating new ideas, problems, and/or challenges to leadership
- Intellectual curiosity and motivation to learn daily; able to be coached
- Sales experience; ability to close leads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & learning new technology
- Organized with solid attention to detail along with ability to manage details and directives across multiple case matters
- Enjoys talking to people; strong customer service skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Enthusiastic about process optimization
- Strong work ethic, team player, and positive attitude
- Enjoys staying abreast of financial and legal industry news and trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals, including clients, attorneys, and staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background &/or experience in the financial services industry or financial investments
- Financial services licenses, such as Series 6, Series 6, SIE exam, etc.
- Strong knowledge of finance terminology, financial investment concepts, investment products, insurance and annuity products, &/or the financial services (brokerage/investment advisory) industry
- Paralegal or legal environment experience a plus
- Spanish speaking a plus
Responsibilities:
- Serve as initial, and often primary, contact for potential clients via multiple intake channels, addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Track and ensure all leads are property directed to and moved through intake process steps
- Support intake screening and qualification processes for leads; initiate pre-engagement processes & analysis for qualified leads (training provided)
- Manage and monitor life cycle of lead intake process
- Communicate effectively with qualified leads to gather relevant details and documentation to ensure all necessary information collected for case evaluation
- Update firm database, reports, &/or spreadsheets to support client generation and key metrics
- Communicate and collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to assess case viability and strength of potential claims
- Analyze intake data to assist in identification of potential client trends/patterns as well as areas for process improvement
- Perform special projects as needed
