Job description
The Nursing Assistant Instructor will implement the approved Nursing Assistant Training Program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and full-fill their academic potential, under the direct supervision of the Program Director.
Below are some of the requirements:
- Maintains accurate records of attendance, grades, student progress, and reports the same in a timely manner to Program Director.
- Maintains clean, effective, and professional learning environment.
- Attends all scheduled in-service activities, meetings, and completes all scheduled/assigned activities in support of individual faculty development plan.
- Discusses with students their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to learning experience.
- Is responsible to assist the student to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
- Maintains discipline and enforces school rules and regulations.
- Can assist in NA student recruitment, and job placement.
- CPR/BLS Certified
Education / Experience: * Minimum of Associates Degree or higher
- Completed VN Program and a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Three years experience as a Full-time Nurse, required
- Three years direct patient care at a long-term care facility, as a licensed Nurse, required
- Experience in implementing, planning and evaluating educational programs in nursing, preferred
License / Certification
- Must have a Director of Staff Development - DSD certification, immediately upon job offer
- Current State of California unrestricted Vocational Nursing License, required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
