The Associate Director of Student Accounts is responsible for the oversight of student account activities, including billing, refunding and cashiering, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintains calendar and website content. Assists with reporting requirements to external agencies. Supports the Director in the overall operational functions of the Student Accounts office.
- Supervise Student Accounts staff
- Assist in the development and communication to students
- Assists in the testing of new applications and modifying existing processes as needed.
- Analysis of past due accounts and payment plan accounts
- Management of Perkins loan repayment with UAS and Perkins assignments
- Calculate refunds owed to students in accordance with the U.S. Department of Education's regulations and the
University; submits voucher for refunds for timely payment.
- Student and parent assistance with difficult accounts that require special circumstances
- Prepare Monthly AR aging report.
- Maintain accurate and thorough file documentation; maintain accuracy of database and account restriction
codes
- Represent the Student Accounts office by serving on work groups and committees
- Present Student Accounts policies at annual student orientations
- Serve as the content manager for the office website and academic catalogs.
- Process student tuition deposits
- Model, support and facilitate quality customer service.
- Assist in yearly 1098T reporting
- Back up billing, posting financial aid, running daily reports
- Assist with the annual audit
- Stay up to date with US Dept of Education regulations and collections laws
- Other duties as assigned
8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday, Some weekends and evenings will be required
