Job Description:
This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical components and safety regulations. Must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient. The ideal candidate would be skilled in multiple trades.
The Maintenance Technician will support Production and Facilities and assume full responsibility for the position when needed. Must also be motivated to work on your own and as part of a team. This position is primary a day shift position but will require flexibility for seasonal demand. This is a full-time position in a food processing and packaging plant.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
· Install, repair, and maintain all components of industrial and or food grade equipment.
· Work as a team member or alone to complete projects.
· Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
· Make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
· Perform quality testing and inspections.
· Maintain up-to-date equipment records.
· Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
· Knowledge of food packaging equipment and GMPs.
· Knowledge of basic HILO repairs for daily operation.
· Computer skills for entering work orders, PMs, completing work in maintenance software.
· Welding skills.
· Journeyman experience or the completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
· Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
· Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
