Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a go-getter attitude, impeccable attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility. As a Medical Assistant at our clinic, you will play a vital role in supporting our physicians and delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- -Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
- -Take vital signs and record patient information
- -Assist physicians during medical examinations and procedures
- -Answer phones and provide assistance to patients as needed
- -Perform medication reconciliation and ensure accurate records
- -Prepare medical charts 2-days prior to patient appointments
- -Update and maintain electronic medical records
- -Clean and sanitize patient rooms and equipment
- -Explain treatment procedures and provide injection teachings to patients
- -Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections proficiently
- -Gather comprehensive patient histories and document accordingly
- -Educate patients on medical conditions and treatment plans
- -Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- -Process prescription refills accurately and efficiently
Qualifications:
- -Medical assistant experience or certification required
- -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to greet patients professionally and helpfully
- -Willingness to float to other practices, when necessary
- -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- -Typing speed of 45 words per minute
- -Healthcare background with knowledge of medical terminology
- -Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
- -Customer service-oriented with a focus on patient satisfaction
- -Reliable transportation is essential
- -Availability to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- -Punctuality and attendance are critical for this role
