Description: This position works closely with patients, clinical teams, and the business office on accurate check-in, entering all demographics accurately, scanning in insurance cards and identification, collecting signatures, collecting co-pays/co-insurances/deductibles, outstanding balances, checking out patients, and scheduling appointments.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure patients have a positive experience during their visit, whether in-person, Telehealth and/or over the phone. *Communicate regularly with clinical staff to ensure patients in the office needs are met. Collaborate with team to create a positive patient experience. *Greet patients and complete established check in procedures according to check in protocols. Responsible for registration, entry of patient information and insurance verification. *Collect co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles, and outstanding balances. *Responsible for checking patients out and scheduling follow up appointments and communicating necessary items at time of checkout. *Answer phone calls and email inquiries from patients in a timely manner, direct or escalate inquiries when needed. Contact patients for appointment reminders or scheduling purposes. *Complete clerical task including but not limited to distributing mail and report, filing, scanning, scheduling, data input, management of electronic fax inbox and general support to all office personnel. *Ensure confidentiality of patient data and stay up to date with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
* Experience Preferred: one year of administrative experience in a healthcare related setting * Education Preferred: Associate degree (Science or Arts) * Spoken Languages Preferred: English / Spanish (Fluently) *Minimum Typing Speed of 35 WPM
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; as well as interpersonal relationship building abilities. *Strong organizational and brand communication skills. *Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage time affectively, and respond in a timely manner to patients and or visitors. *Strong knowledge of HIPPA guidelines, understanding of patient privacy, and the ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality. *Ability to work independently in a team environment, and able to lead by example. *Understanding of electronic health record (EHR).

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Mondays. Compensation is $14.00 - $16.00/hour.
