Description
1. Provides intermediate legal advice to senior executives, directors, and managers; review contracts and other legal documents; assesses institutional liability in employment decisions, real estate transactions, and medical staff issues in ways which minimize risk.
2. Acts as a resource for employment and human resources matters.
3. Conducts legal research and drafts legal memoranda on moderately complex issues affecting the parent corporation, its wholly owned subsidiaries, and other related entities.
4. Revises and prepares institutional forms, as needed
5. Prepares and revises departmental and system policies, as needed.
6. Advises institutional constituents regarding more complex transactional, regulatory, health, benefits, insurance, employment, and labor laws.
7. Ensures compliance with transactions and general corporate legal matters.
8. Participates, advises, and assists with quality improvement projects in other health system departments at the request of the Chief Legal Officer and approval of the area leader.
9. Assists with other related projects/duties as assigned.
