A Day in the Life:
The primary purpose of your job position is to administer Physical Therapy services in accordance with all current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the VP Therapy Services, and/or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.
Shifts Available:
- We can be flexible with days/time – Full-time, 40 hours/Week
Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
- Assess and update care plans for residents at admission and annually
- Deliver Physical Therapy treatments per physician orders and assist with discharge planning
- Complete daily documentation, supervise PTAs, and assist with clinics and appointments
- Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary staff
- Participate in weekly MDS and Care Plan meetings, ongoing PT training, and orientation
- Manage equipment/supplies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including infection control
- Complete all necessary job requirements, including vaccinations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required
- Basic computer skills required
- Excellent communication skills essential, including proficiency in English
- Honesty, integrity, and excellent customer service skills required
- Board certification and current Kentucky licensure as a Physical Therapist required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Specialized knowledge preferred in pediatric PT, pediatric orthopedics, and aquatic therapy
- Pediatric and/or long term care experience
- Experience working with multiple disabilities
