Arlington Pediatrics, Ltd is a vibrant, independent pediatric practice, located in Arlington Heights, IL, that believes in treating patients and families like their own. We are looking to add an energetic, friendly Certified Medical Assistant who excels in a team-friendly, fast-paced environment, and has a passion for working with children from newborn to 22 years.
Desired Experience: 2+ years experience in pediatrics
Primary duties include
- Escorting patients to and from exam rooms and readying patients for providers
- Complete basic patient intake including measuring vital signs, recording medical history/symptoms, obtaining anthropometric measurements; documenting findings in patient chart.
- Perform vaccine administration under the direction of physician
- Perform select clinical duties ordered/directed by physician
- Clean and prepare exam rooms for examination of patients
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering and directing phone calls, verifying insurance, and creating basic patient cases for phone nurse triage
- Route patient documents from clinical inbox to appropriate EMR patient charts
- Maintain, stock and rotate medical supplies as needed
- Knowledge of EMR and basic computer skills
- Ability to work with team leads for on-going training and development
- Able to multitask and work in fast paced environment
Education: Medical Assistant credentialed from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or similar program. Certified to work in Illinois. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date, High school diploma or GED Experience. Recommended - 2+ years’ working in pediatric setting
