Job Description:
Embrace Pet Insurance is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rating Analyst to join our team. The Rating Analyst will be responsible for implementing rate changes, writing business rules to price new business and renewal business quotes, updating dynamic policy documentation, and creating/improving customer communication. The Rating Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring our product offering and pricing strategies are competitive and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement rate changes and help develop pricing models to ensure profitability
· Develop and maintain business rules to ensure accurate pricing for all products
· Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to develop automated testing procedures to ensure accuracy of rate changes
· Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and actuaries to develop pricing strategies
· Provide guidance to the underwriting team on pricing decisions and technical capabilities
· Participate in the development of new products and pricing strategies
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Experience writing SQL queries
· Advanced Excel skills including (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphing, and macros)
· Experience with statistical modeling and analysis
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
