Position Summary
This position is responsible for establishing business with new customers, while recognizing and prioritizing high impact customers with most potential. Meanwhile, the business relationships with existing customers should be strengthened to achieve the sales goals discussed and agreed upon between the employee and Management. Must be experience 3-5 years logistics sales.
Essential Job Functions
Sales & Marketing
- Develops leads for new business opportunities and finds customer contacts by researching available
networks as well as cold calling.
- Identifies sales prospects and contacts them and other accounts as assigned to introduce the Company
service.
- Conducts thorough market research prior to proposing service to customers to make a competitive
proposal.
- Develops and maintains sales materials to be presented to the customers.
- Conducts sales presentations and introduces service to both existing and potential customers.
- Follows up on new business opportunities and referrals resulting from sales activities especially after
quotation submission; Schedules meetings with potential customers.
- Quotes prices and credit terms, prepares sales contracts and monitors service status for orders obtained.
- Submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems
concerning customer relationships: keeps the Sales Supervisor informed.
- Obtains and submits new and updated customers information to appropriate department.
- Develops greater knowledge and familiarity with the Company service.
- Ensures to collect all A/R, and follows up with the customers when the payment is late and as needed.
- Attends trade shows and marketing events to promote the company service and develop new business
opportunities.
- Conducts market research to anticipate competition, market trends and reports the findings to the Sales
Supervisor.
Customer Service
- Responsible for answering current and prospective customers’ questions and inquiries about the service.
- Reports and investigates complaints from customers, takes countermeasures against the complaints and
reports improvement to the Sales Supervisor/customers periodically.
- Stays involved and works closely with customers for smooth transactions, especially when handling start-up
of new operations.
- Receives and processes orders, provides information regarding current pricing, changes in service.
- Identifies and resolves customer concerns; Resolves customer complaints via phone and/or email.
- Handles troubleshooting and works internally and with customers on specific issues.
Other & Miscellaneous
- Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
- Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management.
- Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
- Reports all irregular issues and problems to Management for solution.
- Maintains good communication with Management, office staff members and outside contacts.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and sage working area.
- Communicates and coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.

- Driver's License
- Native level Japanese skills
