The role involves comprehensive business management and HR duties, including hiring, training, performance management, and ensuring adherence to policies for safe and efficient hospital operations.
Veterinary Hospital Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive and engaged hospital culture
- Oversee all aspects of team development, from onboarding to ongoing career growth
- Support doctors through effective team scheduling and client appointment management
- Manage the hiring and staffing needs of the hospital
- Ensure a positive client experience and address concerns proactively
- Represent the hospital in community events as needed
- Achieve and surpass business goals and objectives
- Manage P&L, focusing on Cost of Goods and labor control
Veterinary Hospital Manager Qualifications:
- Proven experience in P&L management, with a track record of achieving results and controlling labor costs
- Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top talent
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Expertise in conflict management
- Experience leading a diverse team and creating a positive, motivated work environment
- Leadership experience in a customer-focused veterinary, hospital, or retail setting
