Role:
The Senior HR Manager plays a crucial role in leading and supporting human resources initiatives to support a positive and productive work environment. Along with a good general knowledge for all areas of human resources, this position will lead employee relations programs and policies, oversee and conduct complex investigations, and employee issue resolution where dedicated or multi-faceted support is needed. The Senior HR Manager will also help plan and lead Associate events and engagement activities. Another important focus will be the continual review of policies, practices and updates needed for legal and regulatory requirements.
Job duties and responsibilities:

Leverage advanced knowledge of ER best practices, including applicable local laws and fair and equitable employment practices to lead ER-related projects and programs

Analyze data for information from analytic tools, surveys, observations, and supervisors to make data-based recommendations on the direction of ER-related projects and topics (e.g., employee morale, employee engagement, work/life balance, organizational culture, employee turnover, workplace incidences, etc.).

Supporting and suggesting improvements to the recruitment process

Maintaining HR policies and procedures in compliance with regulations

Support the HR team in guiding the responses to requests and complaints of Associates in a timely manner

Collecting and analyzing data, including monitoring HR metrics (e.g., cost-per-hire and turnover rates)

Creating and conducting training for Department Leadership and Associates
-
Event Planning for Associate Engagement
-
Investigating workplace situations
-
Build positive relationships with department leadership and Associates, which improve Associate satisfaction which increases retention and productivity
-
Collaborate with all Department leaders to develop various processes, including choosing and creating programs, Event Planning and increasing Associate engagement
-
Conduct exit interviews
-
Prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work effectively while managing competing projects
-
Work independently and exercise sound judgment
-
Promote programs that increase Associate engagement that reduces turnover and improves Associate satisfaction scores
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required. Undergraduate degree preferred.

10 years’ experience with a combination of Associate Relations and general HR experience required, including supervisory experience

Experience using ADP Workforce Now ATS system
-
Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
-
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP certification preferred

Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming Registration

Valid Nevada Driver's License

Work is performed in an office environment. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. At times work is done outside and the weather may be a factor. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
