The Client Portfolio Analyst plays an important role in Dodge & Cox’s broader client service effort by working closely with members of the investment and client services teams to help craft client messaging, create and maintain client exhibits, and produce custom reports and commentary. This Client Portfolio Analyst will join a team and be responsible for updating quarterly client materials related to Dodge & Cox Fixed Income portfolios. This is a full time position with opportunity for development within the Client Services department.
Responsibilities include:
Working with investment team members to create materials for internal purposes and client meetings, including researching, interpreting, and preparing portfolio and market charts and illustrations
Point person for all existing materials within coverage area, responsible for data updates and ensuring that messaging is consistent with the investment team’s current outlook
Accountability for quality control of materials and compliance with internal processes
Continuous collaboration with the other Client Portfolio Analysts; provide back up when needed
Supporting client portfolio managers on a variety of client-related projects
Qualifications:
Dodge & Cox targets candidates with high levels of academic and professional achievement and leadership ability.
2+ years of experience at an asset management, wealth management firm, or a consulting firm.
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet time critical deadlines is essential
Excellent attention to detail, especially under tight time constraints
Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau; desire to expand this skillset. FactSet experience preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Willing and able to own multiple projects simultaneously and see them through to deliver the output on time
Proven ability to work independently
Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning
Seeks out opportunities to optimize existing procedures by identifying bottlenecks and areas for enhancement
Company financial statement and valuation analysis experience a plus

Dodge & Cox has a 3/2 hybrid work model, and all Dodge & Cox employees are required to be in their assigned office as noted in the job posting Tuesday - Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely on Monday and Friday.
The salary range for this position is $125k - $150k.
The listed pay scale denotes only the pay range of the base salary and does not include discretionary bonus compensation, which may make up an important portion of the total remuneration.
