Position Details
- Position: OTR/L
- Salary: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour, DOE – Competitive!
- Start: Immediately
- Office Locations: Encino School and Clinic possible
- Status: Part-time or Full-time availability
- Work Schedule: 3-5 days available depending on schedule
- *Bilingual Spanish Preferred*
Job Responsibilities
- Assessing the patient’s physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan
- Giving advice and providing support for family members and Carers
- Assessing the home, school and work environments of the patient
- Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment
- Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances
- Assisting patients’ exercise for pain relief
- Reviewing the patient’s progress and adapting the treatment accordingly
- Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Practitioner has a minimum 0-2 years of experience as an OTR/L in a pediatric setting.
- License in the state of California and licensure from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
- OT must have the background and knowledge to assess and serve clients of all ages with a variety of disabilities and sensory needs.
- Experience in pediatrics (i.e. fieldwork, related field) does not qualify as licensed experience.
- OT must have the ability to communicate effectively with families and/or school teams
