Job Summary:
Grandview Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology team. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety and compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including but not limited to bone scans, cardiac scans, and PET scans.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain specialized nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of images.
- Process and analyze acquired images, providing accurate and detailed information for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to determine appropriate imaging protocols and patient care plans.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or eligible for certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) preferred.
- Previous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Additional certifications, such as ARRT(N) or ARRT(CT) preferred.
- CPR certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
