Our skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility is looking for a Director of Nursing! The Director of Nursing (DON) leads and oversees the nursing department. The central goal of this position will be to develop a collaborative and efficient workplace with specific attention to quality resident care. You will perform a range of duties including but not limited to maintaining the nursing department, setting long term goals and overseeing record keeping processes.
Duties:
- Manage the daily operations of the nursing department
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare.
- Oversee the development and implementation of resident care plans, ensuring that each resident receives personalized care that meets their unique needs.
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure that medical records are accurate and complete.
- Foster an environment that promotes resident rights, dignity, and well-being.
- Collaborate with the medical director to ensure that residents receive high-quality medical care.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to the highest level of patient care and professionalism.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve the quality of care and reduce the risk of adverse events.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing administration
- Proven experience with HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A commitment to resident rights and dignity.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or clearances.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
