Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager of Accounting to join our team. As the Manager of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounting Team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial management support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and support to team members
-Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation and regulatory reporting
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial management practices
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with annual audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or non-profits
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
