Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a well established, family owned, boutique real estate management and development company. You must possess a can-do attitude and willingness to learn new things and adjust to the situation at hand.
Responsibilities:
This person will work closely with the managing principal and team to assist with day to day accounting functions, including the maintenance of accounting books, reconciliation, reporting, filing, and related office functions.
- Manage and maintain the company's financial records and transactions including multiple entities, trusts and bank accounts
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, CAM reconciliation and cash flow statements
- Reconcile multiple bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and monitor collections
- Manage payroll, including calculating and processing payroll, tracking vacation and sick time, and administering health insurance and retirement plans
- File quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including analyzing financial data and making recommendations for improvement
- Communicate financial information to management, including presenting reports and answering questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in property management bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Experience in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Experience in preparing financial statements, such as tax documents, K-1s. etc.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights
