Reliability Lubrication Technician
Starcon is seeking a Lubrication Technician to join our maintenance team in Bedford Park, IL.
Experience preferred, but willing to provide training to the right candidate.
Required Skills:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Capability to work with limited supervision oversite
- Capability to read and interpret OEM plans and blueprints
- Ability to use or learn LUBE IT software system
- Able to utilize handheld (Trimble) device
- Maintain lubrication route compliance
Work Environment:
The normal work environment will be in a facility where exposure to outdoor weather conditions is possible and where proper PPE is required for a variety of potential hazards.
Post Hire Requirements:
- Ability to understand and maintain compliance with all Starcon and clients’ safety and quality control procedures.
- Have means of reliable transportation to/from work and adhere to company attendance policies.
- Work alongside all team members to reach a common goal and from time to time may be required to perform other duties that they are qualified to perform, outside of his or her normal job function.
- Be willing to attend craft specific training sessions after shift when offered.
- Ability to periodically work extended hours and shifts when deemed necessary.
Physical:
- Must comply with STARCON’s drug, alcohol, and background policy.
- May be required to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by STARCON.
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairways.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials.
- Must be able to work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces. (Towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
- Must be able to work extended hour on your feet on uneven surfaces. (Dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
