Mental Health Counselor/Clinician

Our team is looking for a Mental Health Counselor. The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for the completion of intakes to include Biopsychosocial assessments along with coordinating admissions with the admissions' department. The staff member will also engage in providing psychotherapy services to clients at the residential, IOP, and/or outpatient level of care.

We operate an AHCCCS-based 48-bed Residential facility and offer an Intensive Outpatient Program as well as general Outpatient services in beautiful Prescott, Arizona.
This is a collaborative and trauma-informed work environment: The administrative staff, residential personnel, clinicians and medical personnel all meet and communicate regularly about each and every client's treatment plan so we may provide the most comprehensive and informed treatment possible for our clients.
Below is a brief description of the skills/knowledge we are looking for:
Qualifications for this position:
- Master's Degree in Counseling or related field and licensure eligible
- Current licensure as Licensed Associate Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Master Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Direct experience conducting intake interviews, completing biopsychosocial assessment and treatment planning
- Direct experience in group facilitation, crisis assessment and intervention, clinical assessment, and individual psychotherapy services
Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Works closely with the admissions’ department to schedule admission times, schedule tours and assessments, and coordinate the intake process with the program.
- Oversee the member intake process, complete initial assessments with the member and support system, complete related paperwork, and send all necessary information to medical, clinical, and case management treatment teams.
- Provide in person pre-admission assessments and recommend level of care, based on the APA and SAMSHA Guidelines and ASAM admissions criteria.
- Based on the initial assessment, provide a preliminary diagnosis and communicate this to the patient’s assigned therapist and case manager for each member.
- Create an initial treatment plan and/or a master treatment plan upon assessment and completion of intake.
- Support clinical team as needed with group/individual services when coverage is needed as an adjunct to direct role as intake coordinator; working closely with Chief Clinical Officer, Admissions Director, Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director in assessment of these needs in supporting individual and community treatment guidelines and services.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $65,000 per year DOE
