PRODUCTION LEAD
Position Description:
· Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
· Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
· Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
· Supervise the production of medical devices.
· Assemble medical devices using various processes by following documented procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Supervise assembly technicians to ensure they are manufacturing the devices as they have been trained and as listed in the work instructions.
· Document and train assembly technicians in the proper assembly processes as described in the work instructions.
· Build medical devices while working within the company’s quality policy and directly following the manufacturing work instructions.
· Work with manufacturing engineering as needed to assist with process improvements.
· Work within the company’s quality policy to fulfill the company’s needs and objectives.
· Pull components from inventory and correctly document the transfer of the components from inventory to WIP.
Routine Responsibilities:
· Supervise and build high quality medical devices in various stages and using various manufacturing methods as directed by manufacturing work instructions.
· Maintain a clean working environment as documented work instructions require.
· Maintaining work order documentation accuracy
Reports To: Director of Operations
Education and Language Requirements:
· High school (K-12) graduate or equivalent
· English reading, writing, and speaking skills, secondary languages are desirable but not required.
Experience Requirements:
· Three years of medical manufacturing Lead experience.
· Minimum of three years of medical device manufacturing experience is required.
· Minimum of three years of Controlled Environment Area (CEA) is required.
Skills Requirements:
· Good hand-to-eye coordination.
· Ability to assemble small parts.
· Use automatic, semi-automatic, and manual equipment.
· Good documentation skills.
· Good communication skills.
· Good supervisory skills.
Physical Requirements:
· Regularly requires light physical effort of prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching and use of hands. Frequently required to talk and hear. Occasional lifting of up to twenty-five pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
