Position Summary
Responsible for checking, receiving, and putting away incoming materials, picking and staging mold base orders and any other activities that supports PCS customer order completion. This position also serves as a back-up to the Shipping and Receiving Lead and cross training as required.
Principle Responsibilities
- Completes related computer entries and documentation in JDE and Ship It.
- Unloads supplies, materials, and finished goods at appropriate area (receiving or plant) and moves them to production or storage areas carefully and safely.
- Ensure incoming material is transferred from REC location to home location in a timely manner while maintaining proper location control.
- Reviews damaged goods and corrects or refers problems accordingly.
- Ensures that receiving functions are completed in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
- Checks receipts for proper quantities and item numbers.
- Verifies and picks orders for staging.
- Conducts cycle counts of mold plates according to PCS Company Policy. Ensures that all goods are appropriately packaged and labeled before storage.
- Prepares pallets and crates for proper product shipping by weighing, banding, strapping, assembling crate and inserting foam.
- Follows established safety and quality standards.
- Meets management established service goals.
- Assists other employees as needed.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Cross training as required by management.
- Backflush orders and issue plates or components that were missed on sales order to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
- Maintain Daily Shipment Log spreadsheet
- Scan and save shipping information for accounting audit purposes
- Order shipping supplies as required. Crates, bubble wrap, foam, rags, tape, etc.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of JDE and Ship It
- Well-organized and attentive to detail. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Integrity with ability to keep information confidential.
- Experience operating a stand up or sit-down Hilo
- Knowledge of receiving and shipping procedures and standards.
- Knowledge of freight carries policies and procedures
- Understanding of related computer applications.
- Physical Strength – must be able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 40 pounds or lighter.
Education/Certification:
High school graduate.
Work Experience
One to two years of equivalent experience.
Previous Hilo experience required.
