Dynamic professional needed to manage the day to day operations of a Queens residential home for individuals with special needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local regulations, policies, practices and standards applicable to the IRA program.
- Comply with and implement Agency policies, procedures and practices governing programs.
- Uphold and protect the rights of all individuals served.
- Provide direct care services as necessary to the individuals who reside in the IRA(s).
- Schedule staff and assign staff tasks as needed.
- Supervise, monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide training as needed.
- Work flexible shifts as assigned and comply with 24-hour on call requirement.
- Participate in and lead, as assigned, evacuation and fire drills when scheduled. Monitor program supplies.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean residential home.
- Request food purchases in accordance with individuals' menus and assist in shopping.
- Complete staff payroll in a timely manner.
- Approve staff time off requests and schedule coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
- B.A. degree in Human Services preferred.
- NYS driver's license required.
- Covid-19 Vaccine card required.
- At least 2 years working with ID/DD population in management capacity required.
- Computer literate and knowledge of electronic health record system.
