We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Analyst to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Analyst will play a key role in optimizing our procurement processes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for purchasing decisions and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and contracts to secure favorable deals.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock availability without over-purchasing.
- Forecast future inventory needs based on sales data and market trends.
- Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory status.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all purchasing activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
- Prepare purchase orders and bid requests based on RFPs (Request for Purchase) and system-driven reorder points/historical data.
- Maintain procurement records, such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Verify that orders placed are scheduled to be delivered on time.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vender relationships.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricings, and contracts.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to run various specified ERP reports.
- Strong knowledge and application of purchasing fundamentals and technical skills, including data analysis, project management, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and formulate and execute alternative plans. Must have the ability to analyze and solve complex issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and the supply chain.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and act with integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proven experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
Education
- Minimum of an associate degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
