Hamilton Pacific Chamberlain, LLC is a Nationwide Government Contractor looking for a fulltime GC Estimator with Federal and Healthcare experience. As a GC Construction Estimator, you will apply your knowledge of construction costs to develop complete and accurate cost estimates ranging from $10k to $25M. A strong knowledge of all construction divisions and ability to read plans and specifications is required. The Construction Estimator must also have the capability to develop, evaluate, compile & present scope of work/technical abilities and cost data for construction bids.
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Search bid opportunities that fit the company profile
- Determine the most competitive bid approach with the Executive team
- Produce project budgets with complete scope coverage.
- Perform quantitative analysis of project documents for discrepancies and allowances.
- Ensure estimating actives remain on schedule, reflect client intentions and provide clarifications for discrepancies.
- Develop cost-saving strategies via innovative approaches, materials, and assemblies.
- Maintain unit cost history tracking, subcontractor lists, and pre-qualification processes.
- Assist the operations teams with buyout questions: focusing on subcontractor work and lessons learned.
- Coordinate bid processes; subcontractor coverage, meetings, scope/proposal reviews, and bid recommendations and presentations.
- Prepare change orders for current projects.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 10 years related experience in working within a General Contractor team
- 5 years experience in healthcare facilities preferred.
- Detail-oriented, can manage multiple priorities and has strong management and communication skills.
- Must have experience in pre-construction and estimating.
- Strong MS Excel experience including the use of formulas and pivot tables.
- Must be comfortable learning and using technology including the ability to master sector specific software such as ProCore and Smartsheet.
- Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.
