A Mortgage company in Draper, Utah is currently accepting resumes for Full-Time Loan Officer position. We are seeking highly motivated and trainable individuals who are experienced in refinance transactions. Most importantly we are looking for licensed Loan Officers with a positive attitude, ability to close, and a competitive work ethic. We make the phones ring through direct mail, we have an unlimited lead list to dial, and a large team of outbound dialers that will transfer a prequalified and interested person seeking a competitive refinance offer. The warm connection makes for an easy transition to application.
The best candidate will love the fast paced environment of sales while maintaining the ability to serve and connect with our borrowers. The position is often referred to as a call center LO because of our ability to get you borrowers to app and a support team to get the loans closed. This results in less responsibility per customer which allows our LOs the ability to close high volumes. This is in large due to our extremely competitive rates, our fabulous product offering, and our massive database of borrowers. LO's can close many loans per month because of our powerful operations team that support our origination teams. VCI is hiring loan officers when most lenders are doing layoffs because of its powerful advantage that comes form its massive servicing portfolio. Simply taking care of our current borrowers refinance cash out needs are keeping us busy and closing many loans.
We will pay $20 an hour for the first 90 days and then we will pay $15 plus $300 per loan. You can also opt to do a more commission based model (post min wage) for $600 a loan with a $1,000 bonus every 5 loans closed. Ask us to show you our commission model and what it takes to hit $100K+. We support you with leads and processing help so volume is the goal.
We will cover the cost of licensing, continuing education, and annual licensing renewals for our Loan Officers and encourage you to become licensed in multiple states. Village Capital & Investment is currently licensed in 46 states offering you leads and the ability close loans in each state. We also generate leads from our 27,000 loan servicing portfolio.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate refinance benefits for VA & FHA Cash-Out loans from inbound live transfers and inbound and outbound calls.
- Quickly build rapport and build trust and transition call to loan application.
- Consult with customers about their current and future goals and translate to refinance benefits.
- Provide excellent customer service from beginning to end.
- Ability to isolate and handle objections to encourage application.
- Efficiently walk applicant through process and share benefits of refinance opportunity.
- Requires 30-120 outbound/inbound calls/texts/emails per day following pre-scripted communication.
- Ability to multi-task on phone and computer.
- Help borrower understand and coordinate final underwriting conditions and final closing numbers.
- Communicate and conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
- Work in a team environment
Job Requirements:
- Evidence of NMLS registration and Continuing Education Compliance.
- 1+ years phone-based inside sales or telemarketing experience.
- Knowledge of loan VA, FHA, USDA, and Conventional loan products and guidelines.
- Above average desktop software literacy - ability to use latest collaboration tools - Google Drive, Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Encompass and proprietary programs.
- Demonstrate effective time management and dependability
- Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Must have ability to perform basic math and communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks – Criminal and Credit
- Must have professional conduct and business casual attire.
Compensation: The first 90 days of originating will be $20 per hour. From then your base wage will be $12 per hour or $300 commission per closed loan with increases at volume, whichever is more. We expect a loan officer to app 3 loans per day which should translate to 20 closed loans per month. Hitting these metrics would provide $6000 in commission per month which translates to between $35-$40 per hour. Flexible work schedule between hours of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
