In this position, you'll conduct professional, patient, and confidential phone interviews with applicants, ensuring accurate and efficient gathering of information crucial to the underwriting process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough phone interviews with applicants, both outbound and inbound calls.
- Verify and accurately document applicant information.
- Utilize active listening skills to ensure clear communication and gather detailed medical information.
- Navigate various systems and adapt to evolving procedures and technologies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet service agreements and underwriting guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Legal resident of the United States and all work must be performed within the United States.
- High School Diploma/GED with at least one year of relevant experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and typed communication skills; ability to multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Preferred background in pharmacy or Medicare supplement underwriting.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems with multiple variables.
- HIPAA compliant home office set up with ability to speak securely and document conversations without distractions.
- Ability to comply with hours of operation and attendance policies.

Physical/Mental Demands: Hours of operation are from 8:45am – 5:30pm ET, Monday through Friday with a 45 minute unpaid lunch time. Due to the nature of this work, no PTO can be scheduled or granted from October 1st through December 31st. This does not include company observed holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This role involves sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers, and communicating effectively.
