Part Time Library Assistant
Position Summary:
The part time library assistant is a non-benefited position. Seeking applicant who is available evenings to manage library operations. Duties will include but are not limited to assisting students and faculty as needed in the library during the evenings from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday through Thursday, as well as shifts during the day. Library hours are from 8am to 9pm Monday through Friday, and in the summer are from 7am to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday.
The position will average 17-19 hours per week. This is a non-benefited and part time (19 hours or less a week) position.
The position will also be responsible for inter-library loan processing. Primary duties will include answering phone calls, supervising student workers, checking out books, organizing, completing miscellaneous tasks, social media management, and closing the library.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must possess customer service skills, knowledge of Microsoft Suite, and must be dependable and punctual. The candidate must be mature and able to multitask and must possess good organizational skills.
A high school diploma is required, educational work at college level and managerial experience is preferred.
