We are looking for an IT Manager who would be responsible for the stewardship, direction and daily operation of all aspects of Information Technology (IT) in a K-12 school district. This individual is responsible for IT infrastructure (networking, servers, operating systems, applications and support) as well as Instructional Technology including but not limited to: assessment tools, curriculum and course development tools, student information systems, test development, virtual learning environments, course management systems, audio visual tools, library management systems, whiteboards and a variety of audio-visual and classroom technologies.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $83,000
RESPONSIBILITIES
- IT Infrastructure
- ISP management – internet connectivity reliability, speed and cost
- Network performance – routers, switches, firewalls, filters, LAN connections
- Server performance and capacity
- End-user devices – workstations, tablets, laptops, smartphones, smartboards & AV
- IT support – direction and management of technician team
- Project management of IT Infrastructure initiatives
- Instructional Technology
- Student Information System (SIS) configuration, maintenance and performance
- Stewardship over instructional technology toolset, selection and direction of tools
- Configuration and support of all instructional technology tools and applications
- Configuration and support of all classroom hardware
- Leadership / Stewardship
- Performance monitoring of IT team/staff
- Establishment in collaboration with instructional and operational leadership strategic direction for infrastructure and instructional technology
- Leadership of IT Planning Committee
- Development and Implementation of 3-Yr IT Strategic Plan
- Innovation and improvement of all aspects of IT
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience building and growing IT operations team/teams
- Certification or demonstrable experience with Quality Management systems (ITIL, HDI, Cobit, ISO, etc.)
- Previous budgetary responsibility
- Previous experience managing IT Operations in a K-12 environment (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong professional presence and presentation skills
- Strong analytic and data reporting skills
