Job Title: Fabric Quality Checker
Location - Mumbai (Vasai)
Job Overview: As a Fabric Quality Checker, you will be responsible for inspecting various types of fabrics and textiles to ensure they meet established quality criteria. Your attention to detail and ability to identify defects will contribute to maintaining high standards of product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect Fabric: Carefully examine rolls or batches of fabric for defects such as tears, stains, color discrepancies, or weaving irregularities.
- Measure and Record: Use measuring instruments like rulers, tape measures, or scales to verify dimensions, weight, or other specifications as required.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including descriptions of defects found and their locations on the fabric.
- Communicate Findings: Report quality issues to supervisors or production managers, providing clear and accurate information for decision-making.
- Follow Procedures: Adhere to established quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and reliability in inspections.
- Collaborate: Work closely with other team members, such as production operators and quality control specialists, to address quality concerns and improve processes.
- Sample Testing: Conduct sample testing and analysis according to sampling plans to verify compliance with standards.
- Problem Solving: Identify root causes of quality issues and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in textiles or quality control is a plus.
- Proven experience in fabric inspection or quality control within a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to discern subtle differences in fabric quality.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
- Good communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with others.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle fabrics and stand for extended periods during inspections.
Work Environment:
- Fabric Quality Checkers typically work in manufacturing facilities, textile mills, or warehouses where fabrics are processed and stored.
The job may require standing for long periods, lifting moderate weights, and working in varied temperatures depending on the workplace environment
