Pexco Aerospace is a leading company in the aerospace industry, and we're seeking a Customer Service Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer service:
- Taking ownership of customers issues by following problems and opportunities through to resolution. Improving the customer experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth, and responding to inquiries in addition to personally managing customer accounts. This includes quoting, A/R and reporting on time delivery metrics, to name a few.
- Setting goals for team members, motivating them, and providing training and upskilling opportunities.
- Receiving and implementing customer feedback to improve service quality.
- Developing and implementing strategies to meet customer needs.
- Monitoring service metrics and analyzing customer feedback for areas for improvement.
- Generating detailed reports on customer interactions and managing daily and monthly progress towards business metrics.
Responsibilities
- Accomplishes objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, mentoring, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Develop and document standard departmental operating procedures.
- Oversees department operations to ensure compliance with established company policies and meets with the Vice President of Sales as needed to determine required changes in policies and procedures, which will improve overall results being achieved.
- Interacts daily with customers including phone calls, emails, customer order entry, quotation, and others. This is a “working lead” type role.
- Ensures the prompt availability of agreements, pricing information and other documentation necessary to provide the highest level of customer service and initiates improvements in record keeping and/or filing systems to ensure continued availability of such information as needed.
- Establishes a department structure within which work responsibilities are documented and delegated with clear and generally measurable standards of expected results and performance.
- Provides assistance to Sales and Marketing in forecasting sales, customer visits, providing monthly sales reports (i.e., graphs, charts, and statistical comparisons), etc.
- Absorbs and redistributes the workload for the Departments during personnel absences or heavy workload days.
- Handles inquiries for accounts not covered by direct sales or accounts in the absence of sales personnel.
- Ability to supervise, direct and manage overall department activities in a manner which consistently results in the highest level of service and support.
- Ability to make sound judgments on particularly sensitive or difficult issues and balance the best interest of the company with those of the customer.
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships which contribute to a productive results-oriented climate.
- Performs other accountabilities as apparent or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent work experience. Business or marketing degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years work experience in office/customer service setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Even tempered, friendly disposition and a positive can-do attitude with the will to win.
- Ability to quickly grasp and execute duties with minimal verbal instruction.
- Proven mathematical skills required.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Advanced Excel and data analytic skills a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice, to see customers or attend trade shows.
- On an occasional basis, must be able to put in overtime.
