Central Maryland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, located in Columbia, Maryland is seeking an oral surgery assistant with experience who works well with a team, is accustomed to a busy surgical practice and is highly detail oriented. The practice philosophy is patient-care focused, with attentiveness to the patient, their families, and referring doctors being the most important considerations.
The candidate should have experience with dentoalveolar surgery which includes, but is not limited to, implant surgery, bone grafting procedures, and third molar removal; as well as outpatient anesthesia. The candidate must be certified in BLS, and hold an active Maryland radiation technician license.
Our team's goal is to train the candidate for a career in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and to establish a long-term, mutually beneficial, relationship with this individual. Over time, the candidate will develop expertise in all the subspecialties of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Specifically, in dentoalveolar surgery, bone grafting procedures, reconstructive surgery, implant surgery, pathology/cancer surgery, outpatient anesthesia, pharmacology, and a general understanding of complex medical problems. The candidate will also be mentored and encouraged to obtain certification in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) and to become DAANCE (Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Exam) certified.
