SUMMARY:
Responsible for closing out the daily work transactions of the front office personnel to ensure that all cash and credit card payments balances with the guest ledger postings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the operations of the Front Desk in the absence of the Hotel Manager.
- Checks and compiles all Front Desk Clerks shift transaction reports
- Reconciles and balances all daily cash transactions of the Front Desk. Sees to it that all transactions are posted in the guest ledgers.
- Reconciles and balances all credit card transactions and reconciles against the guest ledgers.
- Prints out all accounting reports needed in auditing procedures.
- Pre-registers incoming guests and cancels pre-registered guests that did not register on required date.
- Posts room and tax to all in-house guest room accounts.
- Adjusts movie and phone suspense accounts.
- Sees to it that the Front Desk office is kept neat and clean at all times.
- Performs the duties of the Front Desk Clerk as the need arises.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned

- 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- Money handling experience preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Must have at least one (1) year related experience and/or training
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, procedures and memos.
Ability to write routine reports; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
Ability to retain and navigate through several computer applications.
