ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Separates laundry and inspects for stains and repair linens
- Places laundry into washing machine using proper load capacity restrictions and adds specified amounts of detergent, soap and other cleaning agents.
- Lifts clean, wet laundry from washer to dryer using proper temperature and measured time settings
- Inspects finished laundry to assure high-quality standards
- Sorts dried articles according to type
- Folds and places items in appropriate locations for storage
- Handles contaminated articles per company, franchise, and OSHA standards
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and linens; informs General Manager of any inventory needs to ensure stock levels are accurate for each day
- Maintains all laundry equipment and informs appropriate personnel of maintenance needs
- Performs tasks assigned by Executive Housekeeper (cleaning rooms, vacuuming corridors, cleaning public areas, washing windows, etc.)
- Maintains security for guests and property by following all security and safety regulation.
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Skills:
- Innate sense of urgency
- Adaptability
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
Working Conditions:
- Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Will be required to work in a fast-paced environment
- Will be exposed to cleaning agents and chemicals

A significant portion of time will be spent moving about the hotel and frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
