Become a team member of a prestigious residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program for women. Chrysalis House is currently hiring a Primary Therapist to join a multidisciplinary treatment team led by the Chrysalis House Medical Director, an Addiction Medicine Specialist. Chrysalis House has three long-term residential treatment facilities in Lexington, KY for pregnant and parenting women where mothers can heal from past trauma, learn parenting, coping, and life skills, and recover from SUD while staying united with their children.
To increase the likelihood of long-term recovery, Chrysalis House’s model includes the framework of a recovery-oriented system of care in which the focus during treatment is on ongoing chronic disease management rather than short-term stabilization of symptoms.
Chrysalis House is an outcome-driven treatment program, where lengths of stay are determined by tracking severity, function, and progress on treatment goals, not a fixed length of stay based on a program model or patient billable days. Federal, state, local, and foundation grants and private donations are utilized to ensure patients can remain in treatment until the targeted level of functional improvement is met.
Chrysalis House offers a competitive wage, in-house LCSW, LPCC, and LCADC supervision, continuing education, and excellent benefits, including free dental insurance for all full-time employees, and merit raises associated with annual performance evaluations.
The Primary Therapist provides individual and group therapy at a residential treatment facility for a caseload of 8 residents; administers initial assessment; conducts behavioral observations; and administers necessary evaluation questionnaires. In conjunction with the resident and interdisciplinary treatment team, develops and updates treatment plans and other clinical records; conducts a comprehensive psychosocial assessment; provides intervention according to established principles and best practices; and selects appropriate therapy modalities to maximize treatment outcomes. This position does require occasional evening and rare weekend hours.
