St. Rocco School Principal St. Rocco School a Pre-K Grade 8 school at 931 Atwood Ave. in Johnston, RI is seeking a principal to begin leading the school community for the 2024-2025 school year.
The new Principal will work collaboratively with our talented faculty and administration as well as a dedicated community to continue to build upon the Parishes mission of Catholic education. St. Rocco School is a NEASC accredited school with approximately two hundred students.The Principal will have a passion for the mission of the Church to make disciples of our children and families. In doing so, the Principal will support the Superintendent and the Bishops vision and direction for Catholic education in the Diocese of Providence.
General Description: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the spiritual, educational, and extra-curricular programs of the school. Works in collaboration with the Pastor and school board to oversee all institutional and operational programs of the school.Job Responsibilities: Articulates the school philosophy and mission; develops the life of the school as a Catholic communityExerts leadership in creating a culture of mutual respect among faculty and staffHolds final responsibility for the selection, assignment, evaluation and dismissal of all faculty and staffPrepares the annual operating budget for the school with the assistance of the School Finance Committee and Pastor.Leads and sets vision and standards for the academic programs of the schoolMaintains an active presence at school eventsSkills, Knowledge, AbilitiesMust be an intentional Catholic disciple of Jesus Christ who is in good standing with the Church and be personally invested in the formation of Catholic youthThe preferred candidate will have earned a graduate degree in education, school administration, theology or ministryMinimum of five years demonstrated experience in leadership positions, preferably in Catholic schools or organizationsApplicants please email cover letter and resume to William Klements, Asst.
