The Preschool Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in providing a nurturing and educational environment. This role assists in implementing curriculum, ensuring child safety, and fostering developmental milestones.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic, nurturing, and team-oriented approach.
- Basic understanding of child development principles.
- Ability to participate in physical activities with children and manage tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Availability Monday-Friday 7am to 6pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.
- Help maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
- Support the Lead Teacher in daily routines and curriculum execution.
- Engage with children to encourage learning and development.
- Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to communicate progress and needs to families.
