Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher
- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage student behavior and enforce school policies
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with other staff members to support student success
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of special education, childhood development, and literacy education is a plus
- Familiarity with tutoring techniques and strategies is beneficial
- Ability to work with students of various ages, including preschool through high school
- Understanding of math concepts and ability to provide math instruction is desirable
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is advantageous
