Responsibilities:
- Implement early intervention strategies to support students with special needs.
- Educate students with behavioral health challenges using tailored teaching methods.
- Work closely with individuals on the autism spectrum to address their unique learning requirements.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEP) for each student.
- Conduct proofreading of educational materials to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with speech therapists and other specialists to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Utilize experience working with students to tailor teaching approaches to individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Certification in Special Education or relevant state licensure.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques for diverse student populations.
- Experience working with students with various learning disabilities and exceptionalities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs.
- Familiarity with speech therapy practices and techniques is a plus.
