Collection Manager

This position is an on-site hands-on role, responsible for training and developing staff, as well as developing and implementing strategies that lead to the achievement of the business objectives.
Position Summary and Essential Qualifications:
The duties and qualifications of this position include but are not limited to the following:
· Minimum requirement of 3 years in third-party collections.
· Successful management leadership experience.
· Ability to work on-site.
· Oversee daily office operations concerning internal and external consumer communications.
· Responsible for ensuring that company policies, procedures and goals are consistently reached and maintained.
· Interview involvement for prospective collection candidates.
· Proven work history with verifiable references.
· Conduct and supervise all required training for department staff.
· Equipped with extensive current and thorough working knowledge and understanding of all Federal and State laws and regulations governing our industry.
· Responsible for upkeep with department practices, policies and procedures.
· Hands on management involvement including applicable incoming and outgoing department calls, correspondence, and production.
· Reports to senior management detailing department plans, compliance, objectives, performance and goals on a minimum of a weekly basis.
· Identify areas of process improvement to both reduce cost and improve production.
· Management overview of all accounts and work accordingly.
· Coordinate with all applicable outside vendors relating to the collection process by direction of senior management.
· Enforce compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
· Motivation to meet and exceed established goals and strengthen quality of work.
· Excellent listening and communication aptitudes.
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
· Organized and sophisticated approach to completing work correctly and promptly.
· Accomplished independent work experience and effective time management.
· Aptitudes for reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical procedures and or regulations.
· Working knowledge of facilitating audits.
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; College education beneficial.
· Experience with managing work projects and campaigns for optimal results.
