Maintenance Mechanic – Full Time
Skills (in order of most important). All skills are not required to apply. Will train as needed:
- Possess an intuitive knowledge of how to assemble and disassemble machinery.
- Perform maintenance on a fleet of forklifts: change oil, filters, hydraulic hoses, hydraulic cylinders, starters, brakes, engines transmissions etc.
- Simple plumbing: soldering of copper pipes, gluing plastic pipes, snaking drains, installing a sink, toilet, hot water heater etc.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules of approximately 200 pieces of equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and to use telephone support to assist in this troubleshooting.
- Changing electrical motors 120v, 240v
- Single and three phase wiring 240v and 480v ability to bend conduit and wire electrical panels.
- How to use a concrete saw, chainsaw and maintain these tools, (sharpen a chainsaw blade)
- Operation of heavy equipment: farm tractor with grapple, 950 cat loader, 10 wheel dump truck, bulldozer, dump truck with snowplow, experienced in snowplowing.
- Some experience MIG welding and using oxy-acetylene cutting torch.
Hourly compensation commensurate to experience.
