The essential duties of the position include but are not limited to:
70% Manages Student Success Programs 1) Leads our Attendance Matters® Mentoring primarily through an AmeriCorps-supported program for chronically absent students by facilitating collaborations with 9 middle schools and selecting, training, and supervising 18-20 part-time, seasonal staff members. 2) Manages our Dolly Parton Imagination Library program that provides free, monthly books to local children, from birth to age 5 by supporting collaborations with agencies that register target populations. 3) Leads or supports applications for grants and manages awarded grants to support program priorities. Drafts reports for our student success programs to communicate results. Supports the placement of in-kind contributions to support our student success programs.
Manages the grants we place with local nonprofit agencies to provide essential services to local kids. Supervises the FEMA funded, Emergency Food and Shelter program that provides funds to local nonprofits.
Develops and manages the department’s annual work plan and budget. Supervises and mentors a part-time Program Specialist. Provides strategic direction and support to a Board-level committee. Develops relationships to inform strategies. Develops and updates policies, processes, and procedures related to scope of work.
including participating in professional development and in internal and external meetings.

· Bachelor’s degree plus experience listed below. A 2-year degree plus an additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
· 2 years of experience in managing people and budgets. Prefer experience in managing early career people.
· 2 years of project management experience.
· 1 year of experience demonstrating analytical skills including the ability to research concepts, analyze and synthesize data, and use data to inform decision-making.
· Fluency in written and spoken English with demonstrated effectiveness in oral and written communications including proposals, technical reports, and promotional materials.
· Possess strong interpersonal skills including the ability to lead teams, manage conflict, use time effectively, develop relationships with diverse populations, and build community collaborations.
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and in a database system.
· Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle access to transportation, to travel, in a timely manner, to sites located across both counties.

Pay: $69,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
