Responsibilities
- General patient nursing care
- IV catheter placement, constant rate infusions
- General anesthesia for surgical and emergency procedures including CRIs and TIVA
- Multi-modal pain control including epidurals, femoral nerve blocks and local blocks
- Radiographs, CT
- Administer medication prescribed by Veterinarians
- Observe animal behavior or health condition and report to the Vet
- Handle administrative duties such as counseling pet owners about surgical procedures
- Keep accurate records and logs
Skills
- Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Anesthesia skills mandatory
- Experience in a specialty or emergency hospital is a plus
- Excellent communication skills

- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)
