JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: FRONT OFFICE / Hotel Operations
PURPOSE OF JOB: Amazing opportunity with the Number One rated Travel and Leisure Hotel in NYC for Four years! A Manager role to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Front Desk shifts while maintaining the highest level of Guest Satisfaction with one of the Top Luxury Hotel In New York City. Opera proficiency, Sales ability and Upselling experience required. This position on site only and not remote.
Reports to: Front Office Team Leaders / Director of Operations / GM
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Front Desk Manager and Assistant Director Front Office,
- Enjoy interacting with guests with warmth and great service attitude. Enjoy service personalization and delivery Luxury standards,
- Handle shifts at the Front Desk AM or PM and present at the Front Desk to perform arrival and departures,
- Anticipate and Assist guests in every possible way to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction as per our standards booklet, SOP and training manual,
- Maintain standards based on the Lowell SOPs and leading Hotel standards,
- Follow procedures, SOP and Training manual with accuracy and attention to details,
- Ensure guests are received promptly with courteous attention and personalized recognition per the hotel SOPs. Lead by example,
- Seek guest feedback and resolve concerns in accordance with our SOPs.,
- Promote all hotel facilities including all F&B Outlets,
- Actively seeks up-selling Opportunities to generate higher revenues for Rooms,
- Check billing instructions, credit authorization and acts on any concerns,
- Coordinate all guest requests with Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering and other areas as applicable.
- Assist with Reservations and PBX as needed,
· Perform cashier duties and manage a bank,
- Oversee the Lobby, Elevators, Sidewalk (all public areas) to maintain them in an immaculate condition.
- Update Guest Profile History with all relevant information obtained from guests. Might be assigned to Guest Relations duties as part of career development,
- Follow accounting procedures, and report any concerns to the Front Desk Manager.
- Ensure adequate supplies are maintained at all times for the department.
- Seek opportunities for development and actively participates in training provided.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all Health & Safety Standards.
- Sales and Marketing projects involvement, Reservations taking and market segments coding
- Execute 100 % standard compliance with perfection, style and finesse as expected for a Leading Hotel
- Might be asked to work several Night Audit shifts as a Relief when applicable
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism or Business required.
- Due to the high luxury profile, a previous and successful experience in Front Office might be required to be selected for this role in NYC
- Ability to be warm, provide personalized service, courteous, efficient, friendly and detailed in all interactions with guests and colleagues
- Ability to focus attention on details and be able to prioritize and follow up.
- Must be able to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time unsupervised. Should be assertive and must work well under pressure.
- Problem Solving, Ability to be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvements.
- Ability to prioritize, organize work assignments and delegate work.

Training and License Requirements:
· FHR Training twice a year on site
· LHW standards video training completion on site
· CPR class once a year on site
· FLSD class and certification Preferred
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 25/50/. pounds when required
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds and Hotel alarms
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations timely
- The ability to come to work in extreme weather
- The ability to stand up at a desk or podium for extended period, including an entire shift
